Shaped glass

Manufacture of shaped glass

Shaped glass covers all our made-to-measure creations from flat or tubular glass, for industrial, scientific and technical applications.

In addition to conventional optical components (lenses, prisms, filters, etc.), we can also draw on our glassmaking expertise to create special parts, with dimensions, geometries and finishes adapted to each individual requirement.

From borosilicate, silica, quartz or technical glass, we ensure the complete transformation of the material: cutting, machining, functional treatments and surface finishes.

Machining and shaping

Glass machining enables us to produce free-form and complex shapes, whether from sheets or tubes. Our capabilities include high-precision cutting (waterjet, CNC, laser), drilling, grooving, shouldering, chamfering and the creation of specific windows, slots and notches.

Each part is manufactured to the required dimensional tolerances.

This high-tech machining is aimed at all sectors requiring unique glass components.

Functional treatments

To meet mechanical, thermal or chemical constraints, our shaped glass parts can be given a variety of functional treatments.

Visit thermal tempering or chemical provides enhanced resistance to impact and temperature variations.

From surface treatments specific improve abrasion resistance and durability in demanding environments. We also offer optical or technical treatments These include anti-reflective, hydrophobic, anti-scratch and chemical barrier coatings, enabling parts to be adapted to intensive conditions of use in laboratories, production or instrumentation.

Surface finishes

The surface finish defines the final aesthetics and functionality of the shaped glass.

Depending on the application, we make polished, satin-finished or sandblasted surfaces. Chemical matte or frosted finishes ensure even light diffusion, while mirror polishes guarantee perfect transparency.

For marking, identification or design needs, we also offer screen printing, laser marking, or the application of opaque or graduated zones.

These finishes enable glass to be integrated into calibration devices, sensors, visual systems or aesthetic, customized lighting.
